Dehati Gramothan Vikas Samiti (DGVS) works at the grassroots level to help rural families build better, self-reliant lives. Anyone asking what is women empowerment can see the answer in DGVS’s self-help groups, skill training and livelihood programmes, which give women the confidence and income to lead in their own communities. Through skill development of youth & placement programmes, DGVS trains rural young people in job-ready skills and connects them with employment opportunities. As a trusted girl child education NGO in India, DGVS helps children, especially girls, stay in school and continue their studies. For elderly people who need care and dignity, DGVS also runs one of the best old age homes in India, offering shelter, healthcare and emotional support.
